Children Living with Cancer Foundation were established in late 2002, in Lagos State Nigeria, to crater for the needs of Nigerian children living with and suffering from cancer.

C. L. W. C. F wishes to create awareness to the fact that there are children who suffer from cancer, and majority of these children are from poor homes. We wish to bring to the public that these children are like any other children around, they laugh and play and they deserve a chance at a relatively normal life.

Fund-Raising To Accomplish C. L. W. C. F’s Goals

With the comprehensive set of goals we have set, it is important that funds be raised to finance their realization. The treatment of this disease is very expensive and can be daunting to the patient’s family therefore all the funds realize is welcomed with open arms.

We would be very grateful if a number of civic groups and other organizations plus generous individuals could also help C. L. W. C. F with fund-raising events and donations. Equally as important are grants to the hospital for funded positions, i.e teachers to help the children when they are out of school for long periods of time during treatment, and for Pediatric Oncology-related equipment’s and medications.

These children also need transportation and payments for regular visits to radiotherapy. Also needed are funds for surgery and pathology histology. The provision of these things could go a long way towards helping making the lives of these children with cancer and their parents a little brighter.

Visits from concerned individuals of groups to the Pediatric ward are also welcome, this could help occupy the children with fun activities to fill up their time and keep their minds off the disease and treatment. Special parties for the children could also be organized to celebrate various holidays, birthdays, successful operations, Christmas, Easter, Independence Day, and many others.

Our Main Objectives

• To care for children living with cancer and generally create and stimulate awareness of the public in this direction.
• To involve the Federal, State and Local Governments and Ministries of health and other relevant bodies in the careful management of these children where necessary and ensuring that these children are happy and look forward to the future with hope and confidence.
• To involve religious bodies, traditional rulers, community leaders and men and women of distinction in the society and all other relevant organizations in the treatment and welfare of the children and by doing so, giving them a new direction in life.
• To undertake and develop relevant training programs and to sponsor researches and medical studies into the disease of cancer generally in children and all it’s ramification, with view to finding solutions to the problems.
• To liaise with, and amalgamate, and join any other similar organization with like aims and objective with a view of enhancing the aims and objectives of the foundation.
• To establish the CHILDREN LIVING WITH CANCER FUND, both here and in Nigeria and overseas with a view of getting national and international support whatever form.
• To establish and run with qualified medical personnel a children’s cancer center to cater for children living with cancer
